SO, about an hour ago i completed my experiment again.
well not really, what i did was dissolve stock again and all that stuff.
So, I'll have to wait till Saturday to get results.....

Also the VERY different results i gained from my first and second attempt at my experiment could have been because of the weather, or the temperature.

The first time i did my experiment it was from the April 2nd to April 7th. Now the average temperature for those days was roughly around 24-25 C. These were the first few days of the Easter break, and i don't know if you remember but they were quite warm.

The second time i did my experiment it was from April 19th to April 24th. This time around the average temperature of those days was around 21-23 C. These were the last few days of the holidays before we returned to school.

As you can see there is a difference of roughly 2-3 C.
Temperature also affects mold growth. Different types of mold have minimum, optimum and maximum temperature ranges for growth. Many fungi grow well at temperatures between 60 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit (15-26 C), which are also ideal temperatures for human comfort. In addition, as mentioned above, temperature gradients often produce the moisture needed for mold growth.

So, hopefully this time when i do my experiment, there will be less of a temperature difference so i can compare my results with more ease.
